ananda khalsa jewelry

My first thought upon seeing Ananda Khalsa’s jewelry was, “Simply sublime!” Inspired by Asian and natural forms, Ananda’s pieces are an original painting on paper which is then set behind fine ground glass and encased in sterling silver, often with semiprecious and gold accents.

Ananda’s work is not only aesthetically appealing but brimming with Asian symbolism. The animal and plant subjects often have a story behind each; for example, plum blossoms represent rebirth, bluebirds the coming of spring, and willow loving kindness. I really like the added dimension this gives to her jewelry, as it really allows you to not only enjoy its beauty but find personal relevance.

Khalsa’s jewelry is available in numerous galleries and showrooms around the country (click “Retail Locations” here); you can also order online from The Guild and Hip & Zen. For additional information, visit her homepage here.

Hi Kiwi, I felt exactly the same way. There aren’t too many things that make me go “Wow” at first glance, but Ananda’s jewelry is one of them.
