Print Post carlo giovani

Carlo Giovani is a consummate paper artist, no doubt about it! Although my own forays into paper folding are limited to step-by-step origami, he takes the craft to new heights by combining excellent character design with folding techniques. The result: paper animals and monsters that are as cute as they are artistic.

Carlo’s work really comes to life in stop-motion animated spots that he’s created for various advertisers including MTV and Elma Chips; my favorite is Akatu, with buildings that fold and unfold into other buildings almost as if by magic. His work is quite inspiring, so I encourage you to visit his main website here; he also has a flickr site here!
