cate anevski
A former graphic designer who found arts and crafts more appealing, Cate Anevski’s art is at once filled with both simple shapes and complex patterns. Each of her pieces is made using pen, ink and Corel Painter; she then prints on glossy archival paper and thoughtfully includes a mat which each piece.

In addition to her use of simple/complex forms, each of Cate’s pieces is quaint in such a way that they seem to tell a story. What that story is can be rather ambiguous, but I particularly enjoy this kind of artistry: that is, it tells just enough to get you interested, but leaves enough open to interpretation so that you can experience it on your own terms.

Cate’s prints are limited edition and are signed and numbered, with shipping in a firm padded mailer. For more information, you can visit Cate’s Etsy store here or her blog here.

The cloud machine looks like it came right out of Ronald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach.
