robot handbags

I have to confess I’m a bit of a closet nerd which is why it’ll be hard to get my paws off these handbags by In Hope! The first one is called “Bad Robots go to Hell“, with a cute robot on a red flame background (apparently all evil robots have mustaches); My fave, however is ““>Robots Love Records”, which features a ‘bot clutching a turntable and listening to music! Each is handmade out of vinyl.

sushi pillow

Ahh, kawaii! This is a 16″x16″ sushi pillow with a wonderful mod/retro aesthetic. I particularly like the use of colors and the busy (but not too busy) look. Stuffed with polyester and–this was so cute–made with love (look at the materials list in the ad). Best of all, it’s cheap: only $6.00!

kate aspen placecard holders and mini lanterns

Okay, I don’t really *need* any of these adorable placecard holders and mini lanterns, so maybe a dinner party is in order to justify them. Part of the Kate Aspen wedding favors collection, you don’t have to be getting married to grab a few–the summer theme is perfect for nights filled with bbq, beaches and friends!

ubiki: simply modern art

I hope you guys don’t mind if I do a little bit of shameless self-promotion here–thanks to inspiration from Jess at How About Orange, who also recently opened a shop, I’ve gone ahead and taken the plunge as well! Above: prints for sale at the Etsy shop, and also through my separate ImageKind shop. For more information (I have a monthly drawing where you can win a FREE print), visit the Ubiki blog!

kissing salt & pepper shakers

I’m a huge fan of the San Diego Zoo, which is why I was thrilled to see these cute salt & pepper shakers! Choose from either kissing frogs or hippos; each pair wants to be inseparable, evidenced by the tiny magnets in the tips of their noses. Best yet: buy a set and support the Zoo at the same time!

vinyl whales and sharks

Naugahyde is one of those materials I was never able to successfully sew, which is why I’m doubly impressed by these totally huggable whales and sharks by skullknocker! 90% recycled, the insides are stuffed with t-shirt scraps while the outside is hand stitched.

utter tosh owls

More vintage love from these owls by Utter Tosh! The fabrics aren’t nearly as loud as some other vintage dolls we’ve featured, which gives them a more subtle touch. Each is made out of felt in the UK, but can be shipped anywhere–their cute little wings look like they’re ready to flap their way into your home!

my china! dinnerware

Argh–this dinnerware is toooo pretty! Made by Sieger, there are two collections: My China! Emperor Rim and My China! Emperor Coupe. Each features lovely high-contrast vector art with leaves and birds; both collections are fairly similar but I’m not complaining–that’s double the decor!
