My favorite aspect of Chimin’s metal jewelry is that it shows hints of desert and aboriginal influences (she’s Australian); mixed with the sheen of cool sterling silver, there’s a primal, simplistic nature to each piece that’s also quite attractive.
It’s not so much that Candace is doing anything I haven’t seen before; it’s that she does it so extremely well! For someone who started as a kindergartener drawing swirly lines with crayons, just one look in her shop, The Intuitive Garden shows that come a long way. However, I find that there’s still a bountiful, simple innocence instilled in her work which I love.
