I’ll be the first to say that Blue Thimble’s style may not be for everyone–their use of colors can be quite eclectic and are best suited for those with similar tastes. That being said, I genuinely love the creativity that seems to flow from pieces that include pillows, wall hangings and silkscreened shirts.

Although there is definitely a darker undertone to Suzanne Woolcott’s artwork, I find the cuteness of her characters to act as a useful foil. If anything, there’s a bit of surrealism to her work, with characters that are often oblivious (or at least impassive) against seemingly depressing backdrops.
