Katrine K

I can’t remember how I first stumbled across Katrine’s work but I have been hooked ever since. She uses such beautiful colours that are muted and almost ethereal when place alongside the images in her work.

Katrine is a Norwegian artist but she does have an English language blog if you want to keep up with her work.

Katrine’s work deals with emotions very well - the majority of her people seem to be waiting for something that only they know about. You can buy Katrine’s original work and prints here.

What lovely work! I’d never seen her shop before. Great find!

I love Katrine’s work too! Each picture seems to have a story behind it and, as you say, the colour palette is so delicate and balances the central figures perfectly.

Katrine is one of my favorite artists–I have a few of her pieces, and I have to say they get a lot of attention at my framer’s shop and on my wall. Her work, as you say, is very emotional and evocative. I find it very moody and incredibly beautiful. I think she is extremely talented–I feel very lucky to own her work!
