‘Wow wow wow’ are the words that spring to mind when I see these works. I want to call them illustrations but the maker of these is quite specific that they are neither illustrations or sculpture although he is aware that they incorporate elements of both. As you can see the artist uses plain white cardboard for the majority of his work but he also uses currency too to add a different dimension to his work. The most wonderful thing is that he only uses a surgical scalpel for this work and does everything freehand – no pencil to help him here! Available here.
