Print Post surreal art by jeannie lynn paske

I’ll be the first to admit that Jeannie Lynn Paske’s artwork can seem a bit macabre; her colors are predominantly muted and dark, and she’s not afraid to use grungy textures. Appearances can be deceiving, of course: despite the somewhat melancholy style presented, I find none of her pieces to be particularly frightening; there is a certain non-judgmental, existential invitation in her work that asks the viewer to draw their own conclusions.

Of course, not all of us want to dive into artwork on a verbal or intellectual level, yet in this sense Jeannie’s work still continues to deliver. Surreal scenes and absolutely gorgeous textures draw you into each piece; they’re simply beautiful to hang on a wall if only for aesthetic value. Fine details such as thinly curling tendrils, wispy strands of hair and sullen expressions only add to the appeal of her work.

Jeannie Lynn’s artwork is arguably cute in certain scenes, but her painting style is such that it can be difficult to determine exactly what the true form of her subjects are. This is an alien world, but if you approach it with an open heart and mind you will find much to love: it’s not bad or good, but simply different in an appealing way. 1. Hi,

I recently found her work. Although the style and concept may not be new (I’m not sure of this), her characters do show a certain tenderness that is often transmited by female artists, besides the description that you’ve made and with which I agree.
The quality of her work makes it outstand and I have to say something else : she really picks some nice titles, don’t you agree ?

    Best regards,
